Hence, I decided to do a series on Valentine’s Day cards in watercolor. We have four weekends to go before 14 th arrives. Hence, let’s make it a Valentine month and paint some beautiful cards.
I would like to call this series a fun series with no rules whatsoever. I want you to have fun with colors and make the most of your talents.
Below you can see a checklist of materials required for the series.
1. A watercolor sketchbook/ sketchpad (140lb, 300gm)
2. A bowl for water
3. A soft tissue for blotting
4. A set of watercolor paints (tubes or blocks)
5. A pallet to mix colors
6. A tissue roll to dab excess paint from brush
7. A masking tape to secure sheet on a drawing board (optional)
8. Round watercolor brushes in size 1, 5 – do not worry if you have brushes in size one above or below!
9. HB pencil for drawing
10. Eraser
11. A ruler
12. Micron pens (or any pens of your choice) to write messages on the card
OPTIONAL
13. Rubber stamps on Valentine theme
14. Ink for stamps
So get yourself prepared with all the materials mentioned above and I will come back with the first tutorial on 23 rd January.
As always the series is free for anyone to join. If you haven’t already you may SUBSCRIBE to my blog to stay tuned on all the future posts.
Happy Painting!
